Daryel Oliver is a convicted sex offender. He has been posting false information in relation to his conviction in 2006 of 2 counts (2 DIFFERENT women) of sexual assault. In other states this act would be called rape. Since then, he has posted a blog about it stating one of the victims’ name and other irrelevant information that he thinks seems to pertain to this man’s allegedly wrongful conviction. The only thing that the victim seems to have as an option posed to her by Daryel Oliver’s parole officer was to make her own site. Now, Daryel has been posting to the victim’s site and making threatening comments for her to take the site down due to legalities, that she will be sued, arrested, etc., furthermore spouting more slanderous comments and revictimizing her. The victim just got a new comment stating that he is writing a book about this, and that she is going to go to prison for posting lies on HIM.
She just wants him to be quiet. It is not justice for the victim to be constantly be reminded of how hard it is to even come forward to this heinous crime only to be met with being constantly revictimized online as the rapist is free to post as many lies as he wants to about her? He is in the promotions and entertainment business, a place where many “scouts” or “directors” have young women placing themselves in vulnerable and precarious situations to “get noticed”. This is perfect fodder for him. There were 2 reported victims of this crime by Daryel Oliver. If the victims who came forward with the accusations were not met with as much difficulty as they were to get the police to follow through, then one starts to wonder if there may have been more women who just gave up. Sounds scary, doesn’t it? All I am asking is, is there any way to get him to never speak publicly of this, or have a law, as there is one for minors, to have the victim’s name remain anonymous under order of protection? It is hard to feel as if this is ever going to end, and it has been 6 years since Thanksgiving.
VINE worked for us quite nicely. We were notified when the sexual preditor who violated our adopted daughter while she was in foster care (before we adopted her) got out.
